Instructions on the Electronic Exam Service Tenttis

Tenttis is used in Tampere University alongside with TUNI EXAM for a transition period, the academic year 2019 - 2020. Please find a list of the reservable exams and their opening hours at Available exams.

Exam rooms

Tenttis exam rooms can be found on City Centre and Kauppi Campuses in Tampere and on Seinäjoki and Pori campuses. Tenttis rooms are being converted to EXAM rooms according to the usage rate, so the number of Tenttis rooms will decrease during the academic year 2019 - 2020. The available Tenttis rooms can be found at the Tenttis reservation calendar.

Booking an exam

Log in to Tenttis to book an exam. You can make a reservation to any available Tenttis room. Only students enrolled as present can book and take an exam.

Exam rooms

Please read the instructions on the exam rooms. Take the exam according to your reservation. A key card is required to enter the exam rooms.


Exam room A203d in the Main Building is accessible. The room has no chair and the height of the table is adjustable. Also, on Kauppi Campus in Arvo Building, exam room E109 is accessible. The accessible exam rooms can be booked by selecting “A203d accessible” or “Arvo E109 accessible” as your exam room. The accessible rooms are only targeted for students with special needs.

In the Main Building, special exam room A206 is targeted for students who need a separate exam room, or an assisted exam based on a special arrangements agreement. You can book a time for the assisted exam in Tenttis and take the exam during the opening hours of the Main Building. You can take an assisted exam on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Special arrangements must be agreed on with the Exam Service seven days before the exam.

Opening hours and key cards


During the semesters 1st of Sep to 31 of May, Tenttis exams can be taken:


Exam room Tenttis, Seinäjoki University Consortium (Frami), Kampusranta 9 C, floor 1
Open Mon – Fri from 8 am to 8 pm.
A key card to the building and the exam room must be collected from the Open University Office of the University Consortium, floor 2, open Mon – Fri from 10 am to 3 pm.


Exam room 123, Porin University Consortium, Pohjoisranta 11 A. Exams can be taken Mon - Sun from 8 am to 8 pm.
A key card to the building and exam room must be collected during the opening hours of the University Consortium Service Centre.
Exceptions to the opening hours at holidays and eves are updated on the Service Centre website..

Key card

Tampere: use your key card to enter the exam room. Bachelor’s and master’s degree students’ student cards double as key cards. Students studying on other rights can get a separate key card from the Arvo and Main Building info booths, which both can be found by the main entrances of the buildings.
Seinäjoki: You can get a key card at the office of the Open University of the Seinäjoki University Consortium.
Pori: You can get a key card at the Service Centre of Pori University Consortium.

The assessment time of an electronic exam is typically three weeks. In summer exams the assessment time is longer.
